  Objectives Structure Approaches

The combined plan for RTD and innovation-related activities, having in mind the overall value and volume of the project, is broken down into four Work Packages (WPs) as shown in the diagram below. Although the work in these WPs will proceed simultaneously and synchronized, the Pert diagram emphasizes that WP3 (OPO Development) will depend on WP1 (Material Research) and WP2 (Laser Development), while WP4 (Validation) will be related to the parametric sources developed within WP3.

The multidisciplinary structure of the consortium is provided by competencies in the fields of material research, laser physics, nonlinear optics and medicine. Some of the contractors will be involved in more than one WP. This is a consequence of the fluent boundaries between material research and characterization, as well as laser physics and nonlinear optics. The interaction between the partners is indicated by arrows in the Pert diagram.
